Wisdom Journey – Week 3
Guarding Your Heart
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23
The book of Proverbs teaches us that wisdom is not only about what we know. It is also about what we allow into our hearts. What fills our hearts eventually shapes our words, actions, and direction in life. That is why Solomon gives this strong command:
"Keep your heart with all diligence."
Jesus echoed this truth when He said: For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34
What is stored in our hearts will eventually be revealed in our lives. We live in a world filled with influences competing for our attention and affection. The voices we listen to, the things we watch, the conversations we entertain, and the thoughts we dwell upon all have the potential to shape our hearts.
God’s wisdom teaches us to be intentional. A wise person does not passively allow anything and everything into their heart. Instead, they carefully guard what they believe, what they value, and what they pursue.
Above all else, our hearts should be filled with God's Word.
Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
When God's truth fills our hearts, it helps us discern right from wrong, resist temptation, and walk faithfully with Him. The goal is not merely protecting our hearts from wrong influences, but allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us, transform us, and use us for His glory.
As a church family, let's ask the Lord to examine our hearts this week.
• What has been occupying my thoughts and affections lately?
• Are there influences in my life that are drawing me closer to Christ or farther from Him?
• Am I regularly filling my heart with God's Word?
• What practical steps can I take to guard my heart more diligently?
Wisdom grows when we carefully guard our hearts and allow God's truth to shape our lives.
This week, spend time reading Proverbs chapters 7–9. Ask the Lord to reveal anything that may be competing for His rightful place in your heart.

Father’s Day

Father’s Day is coming up! We will have a gift to honor all the guys in attendance. We are grateful for the important role each one of you play in and outside of our church.
And, whether your dad was an amazing father or not there for you when you really needed him, we have a perfect Heavenly Father. So let’s honor Him together. He is worthy of all praise!

Lunch, water, and watermelon is provided!
Lunch will be served @ 12:30pm
🔸 We will have some picnic tables under the pavilion, but feel free to bring a lawn chair.
🔸 There is a volleyball court and a full court basketball court so if anyone wants to bring a volleyball or basketball you can use those facilities.

Membership Class
July 18 at 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Join us for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Brunch will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

Ladies’ Retreat 2026

We’re thrilled to invite you to our annual ladies' retreat! This is always a special time to head out of town to reflect, worship God, study His Word, build friendships, and just get refreshed. Come with us!

Sunday @ 9 am - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 am & 11:30 am - Worship gatherings
Childcare and classes are available for kids through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 pm - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. Throughout the summer, we will have separate Bible studies for men and ladies. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into small groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.
Wednesday @ 7:00 pm - Summer Kids
A summer kids program will run for ages 0-5th grade. Check in starts at 6:45 pm.
(Our Awana discipleship program for kids will resume next school year)
