Every Member Matters
1 Corinthians 14:12 "Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel."
God designed the body of Christ with purpose. We differ in gifts, abilities, and even how we serve, yet we belong to one body.
Instead of comparing ourselves to others or wishing for someone else's gifts, we can recognize the value God has placed in every member and use what He has given us to build up the church.
Spiritual gifts exist to edify (build up ) the church. God doesn't give them for our own recognition. As we use our gifts faithfully, we take part in what God is doing in the lives of others.
In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul shows that every part of the body matters:
1 Corinthians 12:21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet,"
The church needs teachers and encouragers, leaders and helpers, givers and those who show mercy (Romans 12:6–8).
1 Corinthians 12:18 "But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."
God knows what He is doing. He has placed each of us in the body according to His purpose, so we can trust Him with the gifts He has given. Rather than measuring ourselves against others, we can be faithful with what we've been entrusted and celebrate what He has given to others.
Paul also urges the church to grow up.
1 Corinthians 14:20 "Brethren, do not be children in understanding; … but in understanding be mature."
Gifts are never a reason for pride or division. They are to be used in love (1 Corinthians 13), with wisdom and order.
1 Corinthians 14:33 "For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints."
Then Paul brings it all together in his letter to the church in Ephesus.
Ephesians 4:16 "… the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love."
We need God, and He made us to need one another.
Every member matters, and every gift has a purpose. Every act of service you do out of a heart of love for God helps build up the body of Christ. Let’s grow in appreciation for our differing gifts and use our gifts faithfully to in what matters most: bringing glory to God, and sharing the message of Jesus with others.

Marriage & Parenting Collective
October 31 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Pastor Phillip and McKenzie will be hosting a special morning focused on marriage and parenting. Pastor Cary Schmidt and his wife, Dana, are joining us as we talk about building strong marriages and faithfully raising our families for Jesus.
Bring the whole family! Childcare will be provided for children of all ages. Child Evangelism Fellowship will be hosting a special children’s program and fall party for the kids.
And if you’d like to come early, breakfast will be available at 8:30 AM.
Single Ladies Gathering
November 7 I 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for our final event of the year as we close out our Secure in Christ series with the single women!
This time, we’ll be exploring the topic of validation and how to find true security in Christ through every season. We will close with a special time of testimony, giving anyone who would like the opportunity to share how God has been working in their life.
Come ready to hear powerful testimonies, be refreshed by God’s Word, and encourage one another through what God is doing in our lives.
We’ll be sharing a potluck-style dinner together, so please use the sign-up link below to let us know what you’ll be bringing!
Membership Class
November 13 I 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Join us for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Dinner will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

This is a great opportunity for women in our church family to go and share God’s Word and love with women who need hope and Christian friendship.

We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 am & 11:30 am - Worship Gatherings
Childcare and classes are available for kids through 5th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 pm - AWANA
A discipleship program for kids/teens for ages 3 years-9th grade: check-in starts at 6:45 pm.
Wednesday @ 7:30 pm - Bible Study
Join us each Wednesday as we gather together around God’s Word and prayer. It’s a time to grow in our faith, encourage one another, and strengthen our connection as a church family.
