Resting in Christ, Serving with Joy
What a beautiful thing it is to live in the freedom of knowing that our standing with God rests on what Jesus has already done, not on what we can do for Him.
We are no longer trying to prove ourselves or earn our place in God’s family because Jesus took our sin on Himself and nailed it to the cross. Now we can be saved by grace, through faith, and we’re welcomed into His family.
Over the past couple of weeks, we've been reminded of an important truth: through Christ, we've moved from the courtroom into the family room.
As members of His family, we serve together from a heart of love and gratitude. And here at Crosspoint, we’re just walked through a very busy season as a church family We have worked hard and experienced a lot of change. Our move to World Vision is complete.
You all are doing a great job adapting and serving, and it’s important that we take a moment to refocus.
The Christian life was never meant to be about constantly striving in our own strength. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Our rest is found in Jesus. But resting in Christ doesn't mean we stop serving, growing, or giving ourselves away to reach others for His kingdom.
It means we don’t do those things to earn His approval. We do them because we love Him.
Galatians 5:13-14 "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”"
And, Philippians 2:13 reminds us that it is God who works in us both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
What a difference it makes when our service flows out of our relationship with Jesus! We don't serve out of obligation, pressure, or a fear we must prove something. We serve because we've been loved so deeply, and it is our joy and privilege to give our lives back to Him.
Let's keep this our focus.
Buildings, plans, ministries, and all the work that comes with them have their place, but none of it is the reason we're here.
We are made for fellowship with God — to glorify and live with Him forever. May everything we do flow from our love for Him, and may we never become so busy working for Him that we forget to simply abide in Him.
Remember, if we can’t get there by loving Jesus, we don’t want to get there at all.

Single Ladies Gathering
November 7 I 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for our final event of the year as we close out our Secure in Christ series with the single women!
This time, we’ll be exploring the topic of validation and how to find true security in Christ through every season. We will close with a special time of testimony, giving anyone who would like the opportunity to share how God has been working in their life.
Come ready to hear powerful testimonies, be refreshed by God’s Word, and encourage one another through what God is doing in our lives.
We’ll be sharing a potluck-style dinner together, so please use the sign-up link below to let us know what you’ll be bringing!
Membership Class
November 13 I 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Join us for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Dinner will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.
If you are interested in attending, please register using the provided link. This class is a great opportunity to learn more about our church and what it means to become a member. We look forward to seeing you there!
Hoving Home
November 14 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This is a great opportunity for women in our church family to go and share God’s Word and love with women who need hope and Christian friendship.
Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection
November 22
We are so excited about packing shoeboxes to send the Gospel and gifts of love to boys and girls around the world.
Everyone can be involved in this effort. Pick up your shoeboxes starting Sunday, November 1.
We ask that you:
1 - fill the box completely
3 - pray for the child who will receive the box
Please bring packed shoeboxes back no later than November 22.

We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 am & 11:30 am - Worship Gatherings
Childcare and classes are available for kids through 5th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 pm - AWANA
A discipleship program for kids/teens for ages 3 years-9th grade: check-in starts at 6:45 pm.
Wednesday @ 7:30 pm - Bible Study
Join us each Wednesday as we gather together around God’s Word and prayer. It’s a time to grow in our faith, encourage one another, and strengthen our connection as a church family.
