Getting God Right
Exodus 34:6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
Every belief system in the world rises or falls on its view of God.
If we start with a false or incomplete understanding of who He is, everything else in our faith begins to wobble out of balance.
Some people see God as distant and harsh, while others imagine Him as indulgent and permissive. But the God of Scripture stands alone—holy, just, gracious, and loving—all at once, all the time. As A.W. Tozer once said, “A wrong view of God is the root of every heresy.”
God is not many gods or an impersonal force—He is one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19). Because He exists in eternal relationship, love and fellowship are not created ideas—they flow from His very nature.
When we misunderstand God’s character, imbalance follows. Emphasizing His sovereignty without His love can make Him seem distant and harsh. Highlighting His love without His holiness excuses sin. But Jesus perfectly reveals the balance—He is full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Grace and truth aren’t opposites; they work together in perfect harmony to show us who God is and how He loves us.
So how should we respond to this truth?
- Worship Him alone. Reject every false image of God.
- Trust His character. Even when you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart.
- Reflect His nature. Live as people of both grace and truth.
- Guard against imbalance. LetScripture, not emotion or culture, define who God is.
The holiness of God and the love of God are not at odds—they meet perfectly in the heart of God.

Baptism Sunday
November 16
God is doing a great work in hearts! Several have trusted in Christ lately and are ready to follow the Lord in believer's baptism. We are going to be baptizing after each service and celebrating with these new believers.
Need to be baptized? Sign up here! Then be sure to invite your friends and family to join with us that day to celebrate your baptism!
Membership Class
November 22
Join us from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Brunch will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection
November 16
We are so excited about packing shoeboxes to send the Gospel and gifts of love to boys and girls around the world.
Everyone can be involved in this effort. Â Pick up your shoeboxes starting Sunday, October 26.
We ask that you:
1 - fill the box completely
3 - pray for the child who will receive the box
Please bring packed shoeboxes back no later than November 16.

Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 AM service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 AM worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - No Bible Study
This week, we will have our fall festival, so there will be no Bible study. Come next Wednesday and be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into growth groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.

Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - No AWANA
There will be no away this Wednesday night. Our kids will be enjoying the fall festival instead. Our exciting discipleship program for kids will resume week! Kids can check in as early as 6:45 PM. See you there!
