Togetherness🤝
“Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:44-47
In the earliest days of the Church, unity wasn’t just a goal— it was a way of life.
Acts 2:44–47 paints a powerful picture of believers who lived, worshiped, and served together. They weren’t just gathering once a week; they were sharing meals, possessions, prayers, and purpose. Their faith was deeply communal, marked by generosity and joy.
This wasn’t forced unity. This unity was the overflow of hearts transformed by Jesus. The early church’s togetherness wasn’t about sameness in status or background (many came from different socioeconomic backgrounds ).
This was about oneness in spirit.
They had “all things in common” not because they all had the same lives, but because they shared the same Savior.
Their unity drew others in. It was contagious (but in a good way): “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
In a world often fractured by division and individualism, this passage calls us back to the beauty of biblical community. The Church is not just a gathering—it’s a family.
Here are a couple of questions to reflect on, even now in this moment.
Am I living out my faith in community, or trying to walk alone?
How can I share more of my time, resources, or encouragement with others in the Body of Christ?

Lunch, water, and watermelon is provided!
Lunch will be served @ 12:30pm
🔸 We will have some picnic tables under the pavilion, but feel free to bring a lawn chair.
🔸 There is a volleyball court and a full court basketball court so if anyone wants to bring a volleyball or basketball you can use those facilities.

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission
August 7 at 7:00 pm
Let's Go! We get to go together to serve the Lord Jesus and share His love with others on skid row. Everyone is welcome.
We will conduct a preaching service and share the Gospel with the attendees. Afterward, we will assist in serving the meal and cleaning up.

‍Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations. If you have trusted in Jesus, I want to encourage you to take the next step by joining our 14-week one-on-one discipleship course. It’s a great way to deepen your faith, ask questions, and build a lasting friendship with someone in our church family.
Our disciplers are a vital part of helping new believers feel at home and grow in their walk with the Lord.
Whether you’re ready to be discipled or you’ve completed Continue and are ready to disciple someone else, we’d love to hear from you.

Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. Throughout the summer, we will have separate Bible studies for men and ladies. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into growth groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.

Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Summer Kids
A summer kids program will run every week in its place for ages 0-5th grade. Check in starts at 6:45 pm.
