Redeeming the Time
Ephesians 5:15-17 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
Time is a precious gift from God. It is a gift that is not to be wasted or taken for granted. In the verses above, Paul urges believers to “walk circumspectly.” He’s calling us to be spiritually aware of how we are using the time God has given us.
How am I really using my time?
It’s good to stop and think about this regularly.
In a world filled with distractions and temptations, it’s easy to drift aimlessly and to pursue things that have no lasting value. But God calls us to live wisely! With our hearts and minds tuned to His will we will be quick to recognize distractions and satanic warfare. We will be able to see that the days we live in are often marked by moral confusion and spiritual darkness.
To “redeem the time” means to make the most of every opportunity, using each moment for God’s glory. This can only happen when we allow Him to lead our lives — when we seek His direction daily and submit our plans to His greater purpose.
Rather than being ruled by impulse or influenced by the culture around us, we are called to live in our God-given purpose, guided by His Spirit, and grounded in His Word. When we let God lead, our time becomes more than just a series of passing moments—it becomes a testimony of the faithfulness and wisdom of God and of our devotion to the Him Who gave us life!
Here are a couple of questions to ponder to help you apply this scriptural truth:
- Am I intentionally seeking God’s will in how I spend my time, or am I allowing distractions to lead my days?
- What changes can I make in my daily life to ensure that I am living wisely and making the most of the time God has given me?

This is a great opportunity for women in our church family to go and share God’s Word and love with women who need hope and Christian friendship.
Annual Meeting
June 1 at 1:15 pm
All members are encouraged to attend our annual business meeting. We will discuss the blessings we have seen over the last year and the budget for ministry throughout 2025. This will be a brief meeting at the church after a brief break following the second service.

Summer Growth Group Kickoff Potluck
June 4 at 7:00 pm
Let's start the summer with a celebration! We are excited to hear from the Awana classes about the things they learned throughout the year, and enjoy some time to fellowship together over a meal. Let's all bring food enough for our family and some to share.

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission
June 5 at 7:00 pm
Let's Go! We get to go together to serve the Lord Jesus and share His love with others on skid row. Everyone is welcome.
We will conduct a preaching service and share the Gospel with the attendees. Afterward, we will assist in serving the meal and cleaning up.

This Month's Featured Ministry Team
Each month this year, we are featuring a different ministry team. We are grateful for the way each team serves so faithfully to help us accomplish the ministry to which God has called us.
Hoving Home
Our ministry at Hoving Home is an amazing outreach where women from our church visit once a month to lead a Bible study and facilitate small group discussions for the women residing there. This time of fellowship provides encouragement, spiritual growth, and a sense of community as we share God’s Word and His love. Through meaningful conversations, prayer, and support, our goal is to walk alongside the hurting women at Hoving Home as they continue their journey of healing and transformation in Christ.

Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - AWANA
Our Awana discipleship program for kids concludes for the summer this Wednesday night at 7:00pm. We are having a potluck with our Growth Groups and celebrating the kids' accomplishments with our annual Awana awards ceremony.
A summer kids program will run every week in its place for ages 0-5th grade.
Growth Groups
Summer Growth Groups are kicking off this week with a potluck at church! Don't miss it! Wednesday night at 7:00pm. Our Growth Groups are a wonderful way to get connected to our church family.
