Bring Them to Jesus
One of the most beautiful pictures in Scripture is not just of people finding Jesus — but of friends bringing others to Him.
In Mark 2, we see a powerful moment: a paralyzed man couldn’t get to Jesus on his own, so his friends carried him. When the crowd blocked the way, they didn’t give up — they climbed onto the roof and lowered him down.
“When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven you.’” Mark 2:5
Did you catch that? Jesus saw their faith — the faith of the friends.
There is something deeply meaningful about bringing someone to Jesus. It’s not about having all the answers or saying everything perfectly. It’s about loving someone enough to lead them to the One who does know everything!
We see this again in John 1:41–42:
“He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’… And he brought him to Jesus.”
A simple invitation. A personal connection. A life forever changed.
As Easter approaches, we have a beautiful opportunity—not just to invite people to a service, but to introduce them to a Savior.
Why It Matters
People are often more open than we think. Many are carrying burdens, searching for hope, or quietly wondering if God is real.
Romans 10:14 reminds us:
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”
Sometimes, that “preacher” is simply a friend who cares enough to invite and show the way. Easter is right around the corner - just over a week away!
Practical Ways to Invite Someone This Easter
- Pray first. Ask God to put specific people on your heart.
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16 - Keep it personal. A simple, genuine invitation goes a long way: “Hey, would you come sit with me at church this Easter?”
- Share your story. You don’t need a sermon — just share what Jesus has done in your life.
- Make it easy. Offer to sit with them, meet them at the door, or even ride together.
- Follow up with love. Whether they say yes or no, keep showing kindness and care.
The Heart Behind It All
This isn’t about filling seats — it’s about seeing lives changed.
Jesus said in Luke 19:10:
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
And we get to be part of that mission.
This Easter, let’s be a church that doesn’t just come to Jesus ourselves — but brings others with us. Someone’s story could be forever changed because you chose to invite them.
Who is God putting on your heart today?
