Knowing the God We Worship
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.” – Psalm 145:3
When we think about God, what comes to mind?
A. W. Tozer once said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
That’s because our view of God shapes how we live — how we think, pray, serve, and persevere.
This week in our Foundations series, we studied the attributes of God — what He is like — and how knowing Him personally changes everything about how we live daily.
Who God Is
God’s attributes describe His nature and character. They are not separate parts of who He is; He is all of them, all the time.
Some of God’s attributes are incommunicable — those that belong only to Him. He is eternal(Psalm 90:2), unchanging (Malachi 3:6), everywhere (Psalm 139), all-knowing(Psalm 147:5), and all-powerful (Jeremiah 32:17).
When life feels uncertain, these truths steady us. God never forgets, never fails, and never leaves. We can rest in His eternal plan even when our world shifts beneath us.
How We Reflect Him
Other attributes are communicable — qualities He shares with us so we can reflect His nature. God is holy, just, loving, merciful, gracious, faithful, good, and wise.
Each of these is an invitation to transformation. When we love like He loves, show mercy as we’ve received mercy, or keep our word as He keeps His, the world gets a glimpse of what God is like.

Perfect Harmony in Christ
All of God’s attributes meet perfectly in Jesus Christ.
At the cross, His justice punished sin, His mercy spared sinners, His love gave His Son, His grace offered salvation, and His wisdom accomplished redemption.
The Gospel is not only what God does — it’s who He is. Every part of His character is revealed in Christ, full of grace and truth(John 1:14).

Baptism Sunday

God is doing a great work in hearts! Several have trusted in Christ lately and are ready to follow the Lord in believer's baptism. We are going to be baptizing after each service and celebrating with these new believers.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection
November 16
We are so excited about packing shoeboxes to send the Gospel and gifts of love to boys and girls around the world.
Everyone can be involved in this effort. Pick up your shoeboxes starting Sunday, October 26.
We ask that you:
1 - fill the box completely
3 - pray for the child who will receive the box
Please bring packed shoeboxes back no later than November 16.

Membership Class

Join us from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Brunch will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 AM service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 AM worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday and be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into growth groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.

Our exciting discipleship program for kids is each Wednesday night! Kids can check in as early as 6:45 PM. See you there!
