Worship Is More Than a Song
Many Christians think of worship as singing in church, but that is only a small part. True biblical, worship is far more — it is a response to who God is, and it touches every part of our lives.
The definition for this kind of worship is submission, reverence, and a recognition of God’s authority or deity.
The Bible says,
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24
Worship Starts With Seeing God
True worship begins when we see God in His holiness, glory, and mercy. Like Isaiah, we respond with awe and surrender.
“I saw the Lord sitting on a throne… So I said: ‘Woe is me, for I am undone!’” — Isaiah 6:1, 5
Worship Is Surrender
Worship is more than words — it’s a life laid down.
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” — Romans 12:1
Offering our lives to God in obedience is our spiritual act of worship.
Worship Is Obedience
Jesus connected love with obedience:
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15
Worship that doesn’t lead to obedience is empty (Matthew 15:9). Real worship is shown by how we live.
Worship Is Intimacy
Worship brings us close to God. It’s not just something we do publicly— it’s first personal.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”— James 4:8
Through worship, we know Him more, and He changes us to reflect Him more.
Let your life be the altar. Worship Him with your heart, your choices, and your obedience — because He is worthy! 🙌

Sharing Hope in Crisis
September 27 at 9 am - 3 pm
The one-day Sharing Hope in Crisis seminar led by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is intended for anyone and everyone in the church. All of us know a friend, neighbor or co-worker who is struggling with a life crisis. This seminar was developed to help you know what to say and what not to say when people grieve, and how to compassionately and appropriately share the love and hope of Jesus Christ. This training is also beneficial for first responders and church leaders who face suffering people on a regular basis.

World Vision - Chosen - REVEAL

We are excited about our partnership with World Vision. Through their Chosen initiative, we have a unique opportunity as a church family to show the love of Christ to children in Sri Lanka.
For all who sponsored a child over the last couple of weeks, this Sunday, we will get to see which children chose us as their sponsor. When we open the envelopes, it will no doubt be a moment we will never forget.

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission

Let's Go! We get to go together to serve the Lord Jesus and share His love with others on skid row. Everyone is welcome.
We will conduct a preaching service and share the Gospel with the attendees. Afterward, we will assist in serving the meal and cleaning up.

We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 AM service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 AM worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. Throughout the summer, we will have separate Bible studies for men and ladies. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into growth groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.
