Serving as One This Summer 🍉☀️⛱️
Summer is often a season of travel, rest, and change in routine — but as the church, we’re always on mission. No matter where our summer plans take us, our desire to keep Jesus first continues.
No matter the season, souls still need the Gospel, and God’s people are still called to serve. That’s why this summer, we’re encouraging us all to remember to serve together as a cohesive team — a body united in love, committed to faithfulness, and joyful in service.
The apostle Paul reminds us of our calling:
“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” — Romans 12:4–5
When you are engaging in ministry church, remember, every member matters. Whether you’re greeting at the door, teaching kids, helping with outreach, or setting up chairs for a Bible study or fellowship, you are part of something bigger—the body of Christ in action.
Here’s how we can stay strong and serve faithfully this summer:
1. Stay Connected to the Mission
It’s easy to let ministry momentum slip in the summer months. But Jesus said,
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” — Matthew 9:37
Let’s be faithful to keep showing up, stepping up, and giving our best. Your presence matters more than you know. Whether you’re helping in children’s ministry or praying with someone after a service, you are planting seeds of eternal impact.
2. Support Each Other with Grace
Vacations and summer plans mean some will be away at times. Let’s cover for each other with joy! Paul exhorted the church to “bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Offer help, communicate early, and serve with flexibility. Our unity is a testimony to the world of Christ’s love.
3. Refresh Your Heart as You Serve
Summer can be draining—but it can also be deeply renewing when we serve with the right perspective.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” — Colossians 3:23
Serving isn’t a box to check; it’s an opportunity to worship. Come to church early. Pray with your team. Smile with purpose. Invite the Spirit to work in and through you.
4. Encourage Someone Weekly
A healthy team builds each other up. A quick text, a handwritten note, or a sincere word of thanks can go a long way. Hebrews 10:24 encourages us to “consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.”
Let’s be a church family known for encouragement.
Let’s Grow Together
This summer, let’s not only serve in our positions—let’s serve with our hearts, as one body. Jesus is worthy of our faithfulness. And when we serve together with love and joy, we reflect the beauty of the Gospel to everyone who walks through our doors.

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission
July 3 at 7:00 pm
Let's Go! We get to go together to serve the Lord Jesus and share His love with others on skid row. Everyone is welcome.
We will conduct a preaching service and share the Gospel with the attendees. Afterward, we will assist in serving the meal and cleaning up.

Join us from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Brunch will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

Harvest Crusade
July 19 at 7:00 pm
One of our favorite and most exciting evangelistic opportunities is here! The Harvest Crusade reaches thousands of people each year with the Gospel. We are blessed to be a part.
Invite your friends and family to go along with you to Angel Stadium to hear Christian artists Chris Tomlin, Brooke Ligertwood, We the Kingdom, Kari Jobe Carnes, and Cody Carnes. These will be followed by an encouraging, life changing Gospel message given by Pastor Greg Laurie.

Lunch, water, and watermelon is provided!
Lunch will be served @ 12:30pm
🔸 We will have some picnic tables under the pavilion, but feel free to bring a lawn chair.
🔸 There is a volleyball court and a full court basketball court so if anyone wants to bring a volleyball or basketball you can use those facilities.

This Month's Featured Ministry Team
Each month this year, we are featuring a different ministry team. We are grateful for the way each team serves so faithfully to help us accomplish the ministry to which God has called us.
Worship Team
Our Worship Team leads us as we lift up the Name of Jesus and worship Him each service. We are so blessed to have these talented singers and musicians serving faithfully and working hard to improve their gifts to help us focus on Jesus and prepare our hearts for the preaching of the Word of God.We are always looking for people with heart, passion, and talent for this ministry to add to our team. Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family. Throughout the summer, we will have separate Bible studies for men and ladies. At the end of the Bible study, we break up into growth groups for discussion, connection, encouragement, and prayer.

Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Summer Kids
A summer kids program will run every week in its place for ages 0-5th grade. Check in starts at 6:45 pm.
(Our Awana discipleship program for kids will resume at the end of summer)
