As Jesus sat on the mountain and began to teach, He wasn’t just delivering lofty ideas—He was revealing the very heart of God’s kingdom. In these opening words of the Sermon on the Mount, we see a powerful model for how Jesus leads and how we are called to follow.
Then, He speaks blessing. Not over the proud or powerful, but over the broken, the meek, the hungry, and the persecuted. Jesus lifts up those the world overlooks.
From His own life, we see these very Beatitudes embodied. He mourned over Jerusalem, hungered for righteousness, extended mercy, and suffered persecution. He doesn’t just tell us what to do; He shows us how to live.
From Jesus’s example, we learn that kingdom living begins with humility, dependence, and a heart tuned to God. The blessings He speaks aren’t rewards for effort, but promises for those who align their lives with His way—a way marked by love, peace, and truth, even in hardship.
Right now, may we sit at His feet, hear His words, and reflect His heart—choosing the way of the Beatitudes in a world that often chooses the opposite. In doing this, we not only follow Jesus, but we also reveal Him to others.
Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching us with both Your words and Your life. Help us to walk in the way of the Beatitudes—poor in spirit, merciful, pure, and peaceful. Let us learn from You, follow You, and reflect You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

This is a great opportunity for women in our church family to go and share God’s Word and love with women who need hope and Christian friendship.
Annual Meeting
June 1 at 1:15 pm
All members are encouraged to attend our annual business meeting. We will discuss the blessings we have seen over the last year and the budget for ministry throughout 2025. This will be a brief meeting at the church after a brief break following the second service.

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission
June 5 at 7:00 pm
Let's Go! We get to go together to serve the Lord Jesus and share His love with others on skid row. Everyone is welcome.
We will conduct a preaching service and share the Gospel with the attendees. Afterward, we will assist in serving the meal and cleaning up.

Each month this year, we are featuring a different ministry team. We are grateful for the way each team serves so faithfully to help us accomplish the ministry to which God has called us.
‍Hoving Home
Our ministry at Hoving Home is an amazing outreach where women from our church visit once a month to lead a Bible study and facilitate small group discussions for the women residing there. This time of fellowship provides encouragement, spiritual growth, and a sense of community as we share God’s Word and His love. Through meaningful conversations, prayer, and support, our goal is to walk alongside the hurting women at Hoving Home as they continue their journey of healing and transformation in Christ.We would love for you to be involved! Sunday @ 9 AM - Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - AWANA
Our exciting discipleship program for kids continues on Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Bring your kids to join the fun and learn God's Word! (Check in starts at 6:45 PM)
