Overwhelming Peaceđ
Have you ever heard the saying, âKnow Jesus know peace; no Jesus no peaceâ?
It may seem a little cliché, but it is true.
Weâve even heard testimonies from our own church family recently that, the more we grow in our love for and trust in Jesus, the more they have experienced the peace that passes all understanding that Philippians 4:7 talks about.
If you know you have trusted Jesus as Savior and youâre struggling to experience that overwhelming peace, here are a few things to check.
- Am I as close to God as I should be or am I making sin (no matter how large or small we deem it) more important than God?
- Am I reading my Bible and praying daily?
- Am I struggling to forgive someone else?
Make sure your heart and mind is sensitive to Godâs leading, and if youâre already doing what is rightâ understand that Satan would like to destroy your peace as well. His fiery darts are easily defeated with the shield of faith. Raise your shield by using Scripture to rebuke him in Jesusâs name. You can live each day with the true peace that Jesus promises to every believer. The choice is yours! So be encouraged! You have all of the tools in the armor God has given you to make it a reality.
