Children are our future 👶👧
The Bible makes it so clear in Psalm 127:3 that children are a reward! They are literally a gift. In our messed up world with backwards ideology about life, responsibility, and sex, children are often viewed as a problem to be dealt with and not like the blessings they are.
We can view statistics and see the world’s way of interacting with children isn’t working - it is actually hurting them deeply. Teenage depression and suicide is at an all time high. Check out this graph, and take note that the 2020 data was collected in February and March of that year (pre-Covid)!
Jesus loves children. God calls us, as Christians, to steward children well and love them like He does. This is one of the reasons we put so much emphasis on kids and teens at Crosspoint.
We need to pray for more classroom space specifically for this ministry to be able to grow. In the meantime, let’s get creative, authentically love these kids and show them Jesus in us. Let’s pray everyday that they learn at an early age that the God of the Universe made them for His glory and loves them. He wants to have a relationship with them just like he does with us! They are not too young to be committed followers of Jesus - living in His peace and joy.

Additionally, there are opportunities to teach the Bible weekly in a public school Bible club near you through an organization called Child Evangelism Fellowship. The world is certainly a crazy place for this next generation, but it isn’t a hopeless. Jesus still offers peace and hope, and guess who gets the opportunity to show it and share it?! You do!
Let’s be sure to pray and get involved in reaching the future church of Jesus. We were left with a promise from Him. We are not on the losing team.

Prayer is the responsibility and privilege of the whole church - every believer. We should all be seeking God for His glory to be revealed and His power to be seen through our lives and church ministry.

SoCal Harvest
We get to go serve Jesus and encourage new believers in their walk with the Lord at SoCal Harvest. Some of the top Christian bands will be there leading us as we worship Jesus, and Pastor Greg Laurie will deliver a powerful Gospel message.
