Preparation for 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
Matthew 17:21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
On January 5, we launch our annual 21 days of church-wide prayer and fasting. We encourage everyone to ask God what He wants you to fast and make the decision to participate January 5-25.
Prayer and fasting are an invitation to draw near to God with intention. All throughout the Bible God’s people practiced times of prayer and fasting. Jesus practiced it and taught His disciples to do the same. When we fast, we are not simply giving something up—we are setting our hearts toward the Lord.
Scripture shows us that fasting helps bring our bodies into submission to the Spirit as we declare our dependence on God and tell our flesh “no” so we can say “yes” to Him.
Daniel “set his face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting” (Daniel 9:3).
In the same way, these 21 days are an opportunity to seek God more deeply through prayer while abstaining from food or other distractions that compete for our attention. Whether you fast from food, media, social platforms, or other comforts, or several things at the same time, let every craving become a cue to pray and lean on the strength God provides.
Isaiah reminds us that God’s chosen fast leads to freedom, healing, and light breaking into darkness (Isaiah 58:6–11). As we fast together, let’s pray for one another, encourage one another, and grow together.
Know this, as we seek Him first, He will guide us, strengthen us, and satisfy our souls. Let’s commit these days to the Lord, trusting Him to do a deep and lasting work in us as individuals and in our church family.

We are kicking off the year by connecting with our Lord and Savior in a powerful way - demonstrating (and being reminded of) our dependence on Him through prayer and fasting. Click here for fasting recommendations that will help and encourage you through these important, spiritually sharpening days.

Childcare and classes are available for kids through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 pm - Bible Study
Join us Wednesday night at 7:00 PM as we continue our series on the doctrines of the Bible. AWANA (3 years old through 9th grade) resumes this Wednesday. Check in begins at 6:45 PM
